Feeling pretty good about your spinning and are you ready to learn some new techniques? Join us for this Advanced Spinning workshop! Learn core-spinning, which produces a beautiful and fun art yarn to add to your projects. No need to pay those high dollars for art yarn when you can learn to do it yourself! Also learn a new plying technique: Navajo plying. This is not for beginning spinners. You must have control over your treadling, drafting and a working wheel to participate. There is also just a little bit of homework.

This workshop is taught by our own Tammy Duensing, of Illini Alpacas.

WHAT TO BRING: Your spinning wheel! If you need to rent one, or don’t want to bring your own, wheels will be available. We do highly recommend that you bring your own working wheel so you can master these new techniques on a wheel you’re used to using.

LUNCH: Lunch for this workshop is “potluck style”. It’s a 3SW tradition that everyone brings their favorite dish to share.
